Rheingau Wine


The Rheingau produces some of the finest Hocks. Riesling predominates plantings with over 80% of vines being this grape variety. Some of German's best known wine estates are in the villages of this area. In 1984 a number of the more prominent winemakers formed the Charta Group to promote drinking of wine with food.
